Henrietta MacPhee British

Henrietta MacPhee (b. 1985), ceramicist based in South London, creates expressive ceramic works that draw on a diverse background in classical studies and fine art. Having studied at King’s College London, Camberwell College of Art, and City Lit, she brings an unusual combination of narrative, history, and material sensitivity to her practice.

 

Her work has been exhibited widely across the United Kingdom and internationally, with selections for prestigious platforms such as the International Ceramics Festival in Wales and recognition as an Emerging Maker in 2019.

 

Recent solo exhibitions include Indian Miniatures at Durning Library (2025) and Oasis at Barbican Library (2023). Her work has also featured in major group exhibitions, among them the XIII Biennal Internacional de Ceramica Del Vendrell in Spain (2024), the ING Discerning Eye at Mall Galleries (2024), and the RBA Annual Exhibition (2024).
