Bridget Harvey is a maker whose practice involves transforming discarded and overlooked materials into tactile, one-of-a-kind artefacts. Working across textiles, ceramics, drawing, print and conservation, Bridget’s interdisciplinary approach combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary methods to create objects that embody care, sustainability and transformation.
At the heart of Harvey’s practice is the exploration of repair as a process and philosophy. This is demonstrated through her use of worn textiles, chipped glass and other remnants of everyday life to create pieces that reconstructs the forgotten and discarded, turning waste into objects with renewed meaning. Playful, yet purposeful, they invite reflection on our relationship to over/consumption and value.
