Made during lockdown in 2020, a time where access to the studio was limited, this work has qualities unique to works made in textile and embroidery. The works take domestic forms, either by imitating household objects or abstracting the spaces of caves, a subject of focus to the artist.
Whoam is an abstraction of Gully Cave incorporating cross stitch animal motifs. The title borrows an old Somerset dialect word for home.
