Sop

‘I took a walk in the woods’ are a pair of photographs taken by accident from the artists' pocket while walking through the woods. They were discovered later, in a time when they had lost mobility due to a chronic illness. The woods could still be seen from their house but they were no longer able to access or walk through them. The images thus became a somatic memory of sorts, a feeling of walking through the woods, not necessarily seeing anything clearly - more like a half glimpsed, half remembered, internal image.
