delighted to welcome members of the Art Workers’ Guild to the gallery for a special invitation-only brunch within Bridget Harvey’s solo exhibition, Of the Rubble (rudera).

Founded in 1884, the Art Workers’ Guild was established as a meeting place for the fine and applied arts on equal footing. Today, it remains a vital community of more than 400 artists, craftspeople, architects, and academics across over 60 creative disciplines, with a charitable mission to advance education in the visual arts and crafts through lectures, discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and outreach. Bridget Harvey is also a member of the Guild, making this gathering feel especially meaningful within the context of her current exhibition.

Set within Of the Rubble (rudera), the brunch offers a moment to gather among works that reflect on fragments, repair, transformation, and the afterlives of materials. We are honoured to host the Guild at the gallery and to welcome this distinguished community into closer conversation with Harvey’s practice and the ideas underpinning the exhibition. The morning is intended as a warm and informal occasion for exchange, reflection, and shared engagement with material-led thinking.

Strictly by invitation only.
