An immersive, evening-based drawing workshop extending from Christopher Kelly’s solo exhibition Evisceration at Ruup & Form.
Co-hosted by Cengizhan Sen of The Poorly Project, this session offers a neurodiverse friendly, sensory led approach to drawing, inviting participants to respond to sculptural works through experimental mark making and gentle observation.
Set within the exhibition space, the workshop uses low lighting, candlelight, a subtle soundscape and tactile materials to support calm, embodied and intuitive engagement. Participants are encouraged to work slowly and responsively, using drawing as a meditative practice rather than a technical exercise.
Engaging with the sculptures and the shadows they cast, attendees explore how shifts in light, texture and proximity influence perception, offering space to reflect on how the works may stimulate, steady or soothe individual sensory experience.
The session foregrounds shared reflection and community, creating an open and supportive environment where diverse neurodivergent experiences are welcomed, acknowledged and held with care.
