As we prepare for our upcoming exhibition, Fragmented Landscapes, co-curated by Katie Spragg, we hosted a collaborative workshop that brought together six innovative and diverse artists: Ines Neto dos Santos, Rosana Martin, Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck, Bethan Lloyd Worthington, SOP, and Katie Spragg herself. This immersive event fostered creative exchange, hands-on learning, and a deeper connection to nature, materiality, and the themes of the exhibition.
Ines Neto dos Santos led a fermenting workshop, exploring the alchemy of natural processes and the intimate relationship between food, time, and landscape. Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck guided participants through a dyeing session using red onion peels, revealing the rich potential of plant-based pigments while encouraging mindfulness in craft. Katie Spragg organized a nature walk, inviting participants to slow down, observe their surroundings, and gather inspiration from the fragmented yet interconnected elements of the environment. Rosana Martin introduced the group to the tactile process of pinch pot making, offering a meditative engagement with clay and a deeper understanding of this ancient material.
Together, these workshops created a space for reflection, experimentation, and storytelling, offering a glimpse into the themes that will unfold in Fragmented Landscapes.
