Ten Suns visually imagines the traditional Chinese lore of Hou Yi and the Ten Suns, where Lord Archer Hou Yi had to shoot down 9 of the 10 suns that were burning the earth and causing havoc in prehistoric China. Originally created as a study piece for the artist, traditional lore as such inspires her imagination as she explores the echoes these stories have in today’s context.
