Ben Branagan is a multidisciplinary artist, whose practice spans sculpture, sound, installation and print. The vases presented in The Walls Speak in Flowers is drawn from a period of research and experimentation at the Common Clay studios. Each feature anthropomorphic forms that recall cultural and craft traditions. This new body of work takes inspiration from historical, religious and folk representations, and is used to further explore the ideas of materiality, resistance and superstition.
