Influenced by Ancient Greek forms and mythology, this trio of ceramic vessels represents the story of the Moirai - three sisters who personified destiny, known in English as the Fates. Their role was to ensure that every being fulfilled their assigned path in life.
Each vessel embodies one of these deciders of fate. Their forms reflect both my fascination with the idea of predetermined destiny and my personal anxiety surrounding it. Yet, paradoxically, I find calm in the belief that everything has already been decided. I’m a believer that everything happens for a reason, and this mantra often soothes me during times of stress.
These sculptures serve as guardians of my destiny, reminding me not to fixate on the small details because, in the end, fate is already written.
