Hanna Fastrich German
Hanna Fastrich is an interdisciplinary artist based in Munich and London. She studied Architecture at the Architectural Association and earned a Master's in Applied Arts (Ceramics & Glass) from the Royal College of Art.
Hanna's work explores the relationship between objects and space, focusing on how sculptural pieces can serve both artistic and tangible.
Her current creations centres around communal dining, featuring blue ceramic vessels with conical inserts that bear imprints of food mounds, inspired by Old Masters' paintings. Using Majorelle blue, she abstracts these forms to challenge traditional notions of art and functionality. Through her diverse skills in ceramics, Japanese woodworking, and metalwork, Hanna reflects and rethinks the role of everyday objects in her life.
Hanna Fastrich, born in 1999 in Munich, Germany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Architectural Association School of Architecture, and a Master’s degree in Ceramics and Glass from Royal College of Art, London, UK. Currently, she resides and works in London.
