Vic Wright is a sculptor based in Greater Manchester, whose practice centres on combining sustainable cement with materials such as metal powders and natural pigments to create forms that explore texture, colour and surface variation.
Focused on the process of casting, each of Wright’s pieces aim to uncover the process of transformation, where material experimentation gives rise to unexpected beauty. Her instinctive and investigative approach allows her to capture the tension between harmony and contrasting elements, where weighty materials are transformed into forms that appear light and organic.
Vic holds a BA(Hons) in Fine Art from Lincolnshire and Humberside University and a BTEC in Art and Design from Wigan College.
