Vic Wright British, b. 1976
Vic Wright is a sculptor from Greater Manchester in the North West of England, recognized for her casting techniques. She utilizes sustainable casting cement, incorporating materials such as metal powders and pigments to achieve a variety of textures, colours, and surfaces.
With an explorative approach, Wright aims to highlight the contrasts between different elements, creating a visual language that reflects an enhanced and distorted interpretation of the natural world. Inspired by nature's ability to showcase beauty in diversity, she employs industrial materials to produce delicate and tactile results, a recurring theme in her body of work.
Vic Wright is an accomplished sculptor with a comprehensive educational background in art and design, having completed a BTEC in Art and Design at Wigan College and a BA Hons in Fine Art from Lincolnshire and Humberside University.
