In her interactive installation "Stairway to Heaven," artist Barbara Long from Madrid explores the ups and downs of life, reflecting on her past, present, and future. The installation features 65 steps and stretches over 20 meters, representing her life so far and envisioning a potential future of up to 100 years.
Made entirely from recycled textiles and materials, each step is covered with red-dyed fabric that connects to a specific year of her life. The design resembles climbing plants in a forest, creating a cozy space that casts interesting shadows on the walls, encouraging to explore and touch the installation gently, immersing themselves in Barbara's artistic journey.
