Deeply informed by the visual and spiritual traditions of Chile, Tania Vásquez’s practice merges Chilean heritage, historical tradition, and the rituals and customs of global societies. Inspired by the intensity of human devotion, each of her works are an exploration into the way religious beliefs have shaped collective memory, from celebration and ceremony to conflict and transformation.
Central to her practice, each collection is a meditation on faith, identity and the emotional architectures that define the human experience. Her work reflects the enduring curiosity about passion, belief and ritual, and how it informs the ways in which we connect and celebrate by weaving together symbols of worship and cultural memory.
