Natascha Maksimovic German/British
Natascha Maksimovic is a marbling artist based at Resort Studios in Margate, specializing in the Japanese art form of Suminagashi. Her work beautifully blurs the lines between craft and art, creating a captivating fusion of heritage and modernity. Each piece is characterized by vibrant colors and mesmerizing patterns, reflecting the interplay between fluidity and intention.
Drawing inspiration from the rich legacy of Suminagashi, Maksimovic observes how the repeated use of water produces unusual patterns that shift as she moves the paper across the surface, resulting in ethereal landscapes.
